May Favourites!♥

Hello there beautiful's

So I haven't done a favourites post since February which is quite a while back, however recently I feel I have tried a lot of new products which I'd love to show you all what I have been loving thing month.

So my 'fashion' item favourite recently has been this white watch from Dorothy Perkins which I purchased while I was in London last month. The store was having a huge sale where everything had a certain % off! This watch happened to be 25% off so I got it for £15 instead of £20 woo hoo. I find that it goes with so many of my everyday outfits and I just love love love it. Unfortunately they not longer stock this as it's not on their online website but there are some similar online.

My first beauty favourite has been the MUA Undress your skin highlighter. Only costing £4 and was recently featured in a beauty haul post, I have since fallen in love with this highlighter and the quality of it. Considering its a MUA product it's highly pigmented and creates a gorgeous healthy glow and highlights on your skin. I'm addicted.

My next beauty favourite has been a Baby Lips lip balm in 'Pink Punch'. I have previously done a full review on these which you can read here. But as it's been spring and starting to warm up I've slowly eased into wearing brighter lip products, which I started with the pink tinted lip balm which is subtle but still noticeable and I even received compliments on it :)

There been a big hype over the 'Invisi bobble'. So with the curiosity killing me I decided to purchase some small ones from the pastellicious range in 'Sand Tropez' as it was blonde looking. But there was other colours like mint green and blue etc.. So if you're unsure of what this product does is that it leaves no kinks in your hair like a normal hair band and it cares for your hair in reducing split ends and even claims to avoid headaches.
I found myself using these a lot during exam season to put all my hair back and out of my face, then when finished with the exam or revision I found that I can let my hair down with out the horrible kink going all the way through it and without having the metal part of a regular hair band rip my hair out causing slit ends. It literally does what it says on the tin happy happy :)

My recent obsession has been these scrunchies with the bow attached! I particularly like styling these with a high pony tail, it just adds a little something to an ordinary outfit. And like the watch, I have also found these going with most of my everyday outfits. I got this bow from New Look in a set of two.

Keeping on the hair related topic, I have recently started using hair mist! I've never used one before but it looked appealing in the store and smells amazing as you can imagine! It's also a nice little extra on those second day hair where you want to add a little burst of freshness to your hair. Only £1 too and so far it's been lasting me for quite a while now.

Another new product here, but it's basically an inexpensive dupe of the 'fibre lashes' mascara. Which claims to be an alternative to false lashes. Now I'm not going to say too much here as I do have review on this to post this week so keep your eyes peeled on my blog.

My next favourite for this month has been this AMAZING fragrance mist from Victoria's Secret in the scent "Red Plum & Freesia", which was an unexpected surprise present from my boyfriend! (He even hid it and made me go find it, it was so adorable awh) Anyway back on track, the scent of this is just so gorgeous and I love it so much! I've been wearing it almost everyday which is a bit cheeky as I should be using it cautiously and savouring it, but I just can't resist. And again another product I've received compliments when wearing it.

And for my final random favourite, it has been my iLuv anti-tangle earphones. I cannot begin to describe the joy of having anti tangle earphones. I literally chuck them in my college bag or my weekend bag when I go to stay at my boyfriends, and when I pull them out there is not a single tangle it's perfection. The quality on these are also really really good and has a good bass as well. I paid £10 for these from Asda and they did come in a range of colours but I just chose the neon pink ones as they were the prettiest ehe.

So there are my favourites for May.

Comment below what your favourites have been this month as I'm always looking out for new products to try

HOW TO: Winged Eye Liner

(Silly screen shot photo)
I've been wanting to post a eye liner tutorial since I've started my blog really, however found it too awkward to picture! So trying out the new video camera I have (Possible Youtube Channel?) I thought I'd film it and take screen shots of how I apply my winged 'cat eye' eye-liner.

So as a bit of a back story, I have been wearing eye liner since I was about 12-13 so I've had my years of playing around and learning what works and what doesn't. So here is my current way I do my winged eye liner which is a little different to the usual I see YouTubers do theirs, But this is adapted to me and my eye shape as I find my eyes looked prettier and more defined this way :}

Anyway this post was inspired after my friends asking me how I do my my eye liner after posting this photo on my Instagram:

So without further ado let's get started!

Products:

The eye liner I used is the Primark's make up brand 'P.s love' felt eye liner pen. I never expected to love this after receiving one for Christmas from my mum, But I fell in love with the quality of it and how long it lasted on me! I have since repurchased it twice.

And it only costs £1.50 lovely!

And if you want to read a full review than this lovely blog has one here.

How to:
First I hold down my eye lid with one hand, while drawing a thin line just beyond the halfway mark of my lid, I find this the easiest way to draw the inner line with out it becoming too thick.

Next with an open eye I draw the end of the line make sure that the line is even and straight.

First I mark where I want the wing to go. If you struggling you can use a ruler like object to help draw a straight line. Its how I started and with practise you will find yourself drawing straight lined eye liner in no time.

Then I start filling in the area and shape of the wing. It's here where you can choose to have a thick or thin wing.

Once filled in I then extend the wing to my desired length, however if you are happy with how it turned out the step before then do not worry about this step.

Once my wing is drawn I then go back on myself in order to fully connect the wing to my top liner so it all looks neat and blended.

And that is your first eye completed.

Now do the same to the other eye.

Also look up to check it is even to the other eye (as much as you possibly can.) Obviously it impossible to achieve complete symmetrical eye liner however again with practise you can get pretty close. If it's not even you can take a  make up wipe and gently wipe at the wing to correct it.

Pulling a derpy face, but that's it, We're done!:D

This was a get ready with me video I  filmed after I got out the shower testing out my camera, so to finish off this look I added mascara, cheek and lip products as well as blow drying my hair!

(blurry screen shot:c I promise the video quality is amazing)

Unfortunately I have no intentions in uploading this exact video to YouTube, however I am definietly considering starting my YouTube channel hmmmm..

I hope you found this useful and if you tried this out or have a different tutorial your self then link it below as I'd love to check it out.

Until next time, have a beautiful day

My Summer Wish List ☀ ☀ ☀

So with summer fast approaching and with me going to Spain in a few months, I thought I'd put together a summer wish list! One which I can refer back to when buying holiday goods and one for you to take inspiration from for your own summer must haves!

Where to find these:

Playsuits are one of my summer favourites to have, as you can still look girly yet with the bottom half being shorts you can lounge around in them and go out in the all day without worrying it will go up.

Coral is such a gorgeous colour to wear, and although I'm not usually a fan of snakeskin pattern its not in the normal colour so instead it adds a pretty texture look to the wedges.

Lush sea spray - £9.95 - LUSH
Sea spray is such a lovely product to have during the summer to add texture to your hair and to create beachy hair look.

Both of these seem to be the perfect summer cheek make up, with my new found love for highlighters and plus the gorgeous pinks and peachy coloured cream blushes available I cannot wait to get my hands on these.

Fuji Film polaroid camera-£59.95 - Amazon
I've always admired these since last summer, and now I'm determined to save up a purchase one to capture all my summer adventures and my first holiday abroad in over 3 years.

Daisy hair garland headband - £3.99 - New Look
Daisies are so cute and pretty and having never own a floral garland I thought I would go and purchase my first on to style with summer outfits.

Black retro sunglasses- £10.00 - River Island
Sun glasses are a staple look for me in the summer, I'm not overly a hat person as it messes up my hair so how else am I supposed to block the sun from my eyes?

Black fringed bikini bandeau top - £16.00 - River Island
Black fringed bikini bottoms - £12.00 - River Island
I have this want for a fringed bikini at the moment, so after seeing this one I thought its was very pretty! Although I have seen far prettier colours else where in white and peach.

I'm usually against wearing heavier make up in the summer including some lipsticks so I think this lip shimmer will be a great substitute and in watermelon my favourite fruit!

When I first saw skorts I did think they was rather odd, but they have started to grow on me especially after seeing all the pretty floral patterned skorts New Look have released.

So there is my 2014 summer wish list! I might even make this a two parter to expand my list!

What's on your summer wish list?

Small Collective Beauty haul!

So as well as clothes shopping the other day I also picked up a few beauty bits, which some I am excited to try out!

Pure 3 in 1 make up remover wipes- 2 for £1 - PoundLand
I've been using these wipes for a long long time and have always been
very satisfied with the quality

Floral make up bag- £1-PoundLand
I originally bought one to contain all the bits for my give away, but I fell in love with it and bought one for myself to use at college and out and about in the summer.

Neutrogena pink grape fruit facial wash-£3.49-Savers
After buying the clean and clear morning energy wash I found that after using it for a while the beads start to really irritate my skin so I stopped using it and treated my self to a new facial wash that I have been wanting to try for a while but not pay £5 for it, so when I found it for £3.49 in Savers it was a no brainer!

Rimmel Scandaleyes gel eyeliner- £3.00-Savers
I found this in Savers down to £3 from £4.98 due to the outer packaging being damaged. I've always wanted to try the gel eye liners so I thought why not? And bought it right away!

Collection 2000 colour match foundation- £5.99 Superdrug
I used this last summer and loved it then, and since I wanted to use a different foundation after the Maybelline better stay foundation not being overall that great why not go back to my summer favourites. You could also win this product in my give away!

Rimmel clear complexion powder- £3.99- Superdrug
I was torn between this and the 'Stay Matte' powder as I've haven't tried either products, so I jumped right in and decided to try the clear complexion and also they didn't really have my shade in the 'stay matte' at my local Superdrug.

MUA undress your skin highlighting powder- £3-Superdrug
I've seen a few 'get ready with me' videos on YouTube lately and I've seen a few apply a high end highlighter to create a pretty pink glow, curious to try the look out for myself I bought the drug store version from MUA and it is amazing! Highly pigmented and creates a beautiful highlight. MUA does it again!

MUA Hide and conceal concealer stick- £1-Superdrug
I've repurchased this twice now! I use this a part of my everyday make up look and it does last a long time before having to replace it! Cheap and cheerful.

Collection 2000 Mascara- £1.99-Superdrug
Another repurchase, as it's again cheap and I go through mascara quite fast so I tend to use this in everyday standard make up and use the higher quality products for when I want to look a bit more dressed up and made extra effort.

Dove Over Night Creme hair treatment-£1-PoundLand
I'm really into hair care products as I dye my hair blonde every 4 months I need to look after my hair to keep it in tip top condition. This product claims to "Dove's leave-in treatment with patented Fibre Actives™ technology helps replenish 1 month’s protein loss in just 1 night.* lost during hair wash". Which sounds exciting and I've used this a few times and so far so good, and being in PoundLand I found it at a bargain price!

Shampoo bottles set-£1.50-Savers
I picked this up as my old ones are starting to crack and break and it does come in handy over the summer especially when going swimming or to the beach. I also might be going on holiday in a few months so I figured I'd be able to use it then as well.

So there is my little collective beauty haul! I'm starting to really feel the summer vibe now,
Are you feeling summery?

If there is any products you'd like me to review then please let me know below!

May 2014 UK Glossybox: Paired with Superdrug!

So today I received my very first ever Glossybox! I've never done a subscription service before so I was very excited for this to arrive and so far I am so happy! The cover has the "50 years of Superdrug" design compared to their usual pink plain box, so far so good.

So for this months Glossybox there was a guaranteed 4 full sized products, one smaller size and two samples, which is all very exciting for my first ever box. Now a little more in depth in to what we got here exactly:

50ml Blowpro-after blow strong hold finishing spray (FULL SIZE COSTS-£11.99 283ml)
'Don't let the English weather make your hair-do a hair-don't with blowpro's strong hold finishing spray. It conditions while it sets to provide you with superwoman-esque super-hold on your hair'

I have never owned an after blow spray before, so this will be interesting to try out when going for the day, especially as its starting to warm up here as we enter summer.

B.Complete long lasting nail polish (Costs £4.99)
This product claims to "provide intense colour with a high shine finish and has a wide brush providing a smooth and quick professional finish."

My first full sized product and I've never heard of this product/brand so again another new product to try! It's hard to tell from the photo what colour this exactly is but it is in the shade "Quartz 65" a bluey grey shade.

Scholl velvet smooth over night mask- Cost £7.99
"This night mask hydrates for up to 24 hours to give you soft beautiful feet while you sleep"

Another full sized product, but I have admit not the most exciting product in the world. And if I'm completely honest I hate feet. But still I can't knock it until I've tried it!

I Love Cosmetics: Strawberries & Milkshake Shimmer and Shine Lip Gloss- £1.29

"Feel scrumptious with a burst of fresh strawberries and smooth yummy milkshake."

My third full size product and it looks like a wonderful little product. I am actually familiar with this brand as I got a bubble bath set from this brand which did include a bubble bath in the fragrance: Strawberries & Milkshake so I know it will smell amazing!

Collection Bronze Glow Mosaic £2.99
"Get an all-year round natural-looking tan with a sweep of Bronze Glow Mosaic. Add a sunkissed shimmer of colour to highlight the face and body and add contouring to your cheeks and collarbone."

I was pleasantly surprised to see a Collection product in here, plus one I haven't tried before which is a bonus! So once again I'm looking forward to giving this one a whirl.

GHOST Fragrances- Eclipse 2ml (Full sized £33 for 50ml)
"Capturing the warm energy of the sun, GHOST Eclipse evokes feelings of carefree abandon. Get lost in the moment and lift your spirits with this intoxicating and addictive fruity-floral fragrance."

Sounds very interesting and fun to try out and smell. I personally love perfume samples that come in a little bottle as it becomes perfect to pop in your bag rather than bringing full sized perfumes that could smash.

Garnier Oil Beauty Lotion 10ml (full sized £4.99 250ml)

"Infused with argan, macademia, almond, and rose oil the Oil Beauty Lotio helps replenish the skin with moisture and reinforce its barrier function to prevent it feeling dry, leaving your skin feeling softer and silky-smooth."

And finally another sample I have never tried before! I'm more interest in the "non greasy, non-sticky" advertised on the front which will be good to test out as I absolutely hate sticky lotions that make any surrounding fluff or bits stick to your skin, yuck!

So there is May 2014's Uk Glossybox woo! The full sized product alone add up to £17.26 however with the sample goods pushes it up to around the £20 mark. Which is worth your money considering my subscription only cost £10!

What do you think of this months Glossybox?
