2015!

So this post was scheduled to post on the 31st of December however it never posted so its a little late! But a new year has begun and I seriously can't believe how fast 2014 has flown by like where did it go?! 2014 has honestly be a pretty wonderful year for me and I have to say I'm pretty proud of my self for everything I achieved.

So what are my New Year resolutions?

1. Knuckle down in college: With university creeping up I really need to get on with my college work and give in all coursework on time and to my best standard as well as making myself as best prepared as I can possibly be for the summer exams. My whole future is riding on how well I do this year and I fully intend to maximise my potential.

2. To create a realistic Blog and YouTube schedule and stick to it: So far on my Blog and Channel I've just kinda posted when ever I made content. However I really want to establish a proper schedule to keep my self organised, this will also help when it comes to revision and coursework! I will give you all my schedule as soon as I've worked it out.

3. Improve my lifestyle: I'm not going to lie my diet and fitness is pretty shocking. I blame Pizza. So this year I fully intend to eat more healthily and to exercise to more. This would not only improve my body but also my mood and energy, as well as improving the condition of my skin, hair and nails oooh. I may even run a series on my blog of my progress on getting fitter.

4. Save up: Once again with university creeping up I need to be fully prepared. I do need to buy a lot of things for the halls, however there is also the responsibility of paying rent and doing my own weekly shopping so to achieve this I need to master budgeting. However in life things happen to go wrong and I would like be a responsible adult and have my own savings to fall back on if things go wrong, rather than go running to parents.

So will I achieve all these? I'm surely hope so, I'll keep you all updated seeing as I made it public I better make sure I feed back!

But for now lets look back on some of 2014's events;

Re-starting my blog

In 2013 I took a 4 month blogging break, yikes. However I really wasn't mentally happy or inspired to blog as I was under constant stress from college and other factors. However in the New Year things started to turn around and I was determined to get back on track and finally by February I decided to start writing on my blog again and I even my gave my blog layout a revamp which is what you see now!

Going to see Dancing on Ice live

Dancing on Ice was seriously one of my favourite shows to watch! mainly because of the film Ice Princess. I'd would tune in every week religiously and I have to say my favourite series is still the fifth series when Haley Tamaddon and Daniel Whiston won it. So actually going to London to see them all live at Wembley stadium was so over whelming! The show was absolutely fantastic and I cannot thank my wonderful Nan enough for taking me to go see it, definitely an experience I won't forget!

Everything in my Summer round up

Quite a lot happened in my fun filled summer which I already did a blog post on which you can read here. It covers everything from May - August, which I feel would of made this blog post be way to long if I included everything in it! So if you fancy reading in detail about my summer be sure to click the link!

Starting my YouTube channel!?

In August I finally filmed and uploaded my first ever YouTube video ah! Its something I've wanted to do since secondary school however I never had the confidence to do so I delayed it. I am pretty grateful now as in that time I learnt how to edit and gained self confidence in myself, I stopped worrying what people would think and did something for myself. And now my humble channel has over 200 subscribers and nearly 4000 views!! Thank you so much for supporting me by subscribing, watching and liking my videos it means so much to me!

Going to Spain

Going to Spain was my first ever holiday abroad without my family, I went for a week in September with my boyfriend and his family and it was absolutely wonderful! It was the first time I really had save up lots of money for food and spending which I achieved!( however my lovely Nan did help me with insurance bit!) Despite being with the family we was very independent which was something I've not experienced before while on holiday but overall it was a great experience. I would definitely return to Torreblanca!

Applied for university!
I applied for university comfortably before the deadline! So although the UCAS deadline is January, my college deadline was November however my application went straight through to college well before the deadline. I spent a long time planning my personal statement and even longer writing and rewriting it, however when it was finished I was very proud with the outcome. I also had to be responsible and travel on my own to visit the university open days. I've never really travelled far away without my parents however taking the trains and searching Google maps for routes proved to be very successful.

So 2014 had some wonderful memories and experiences, some of which I'm very proud of. However there were two lows which did bring me down.

Losing molly

Some of you may recognise this furry face, she has appeared in many blog posts and even in a YouTube video in my 'Get to know me' video. However in October she passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly, having owned her since I was 3 years old and grown up with her I was absolutely heartbroken. She wasn't a boring cat oh no no no, she was very active and needy! Molly loved being stroked and cuddled, she'd play with pieces of strings even up to her old age and of course she'd commonly sit with me while I edited my blog posts:

She was such a dear little soul and I miss her millions each day.

Breaking my wrist

Falling over while ice skating and fracturing my wrist was definitely not one of my proudest moments of 2014. To be blunt it was pretty embarrassing, however I'm only human and accidents happen. It was such a painful experience which I still have wrist pains now. Plus having to wear a fat cast for 4 weeks really brought me down as I couldn't fit in to most of my nice clothing, as well as effecting my creativity as all I want to do was to make DIY projects for my YouTube videos however the time off work meant lack of money to actually make them, this also effected Christmas as I had to do all my shopping pretty late compared to usual!

So here is to a better 2015!

Maybelline New York HyperCosmos Eyeshadow Duo

Hello everyone!
Unfortunately due to lots of reasons including college work etc.. I haven't had enough time to film any YouTube videos which makes me sad as making videos is my pride and joy, however I am hoping to film this week and upload lots of content for you wonderful people. In the meantime I thought I'd show you guys this palette I have been using tonnes this month.

Its called the Maybelline HyperCosmos duo palette with mine in the shades 'WN-1' Plum.
I think these are two amazing shades which can be used to created a festive look. Now I found mine in my local PoundLand which was selling off some Maybelline products so I'm not sure where you can get hold these but I think Amazon and Ebay are still selling some.

 I find the bronze gold shade makes a great base colour to blend all over the lid, the to add some definition I blend in the cranberry plum colour into the crease and outer corner to finish the look off. This has been a look I have been wearing a lot recently and if anyone would like an tutorial I will be sure to film that! The colours themselves are also super pigmented considering how inexpensive this palette is;
(Swatches of the shades)

Over all I have been loving this product this month and would definitely recommend it (providing you can find it!)

So what do you think of Cranberry Gold shades of eye shadow?

Until next time!

Christmas Yankee Candles!

Hello everyone!

IT'S ONE MONTH TIL' CHRISTMAS <3

So I have recently went a little but mad with the Yankee candles, but I just raided the samplers so I could test all the festive scents and choose which ones I'd like to purchase as full size jar. But I thought I'd take this opportunity to show you their festive range, you can get this samplers for literally £1 each for in the home section in stores like Asda. I got the Yankee simple home ones from Asda's and the official Yankee ones from a local store that sells them but you can find them online.

From left to right;

Holiday Magic; Scent is bayberry, clove, cinnamon and balsam fir.

Merry Berry: Scent is spirited, spiced blend of sweet red berries

Cranberry Ice:  Scent is a cool, stimulating rush of frosty red fruits bursting with a tangy sweetness. (Also my favourite one!)

Candy Cane Lane: Scent is a tingly peppermint, sweet cookies and creamy vanilla icing.

Christmas Eve: Traditional Christmas scents of a warm hearth, sugared plums, and candied fruits.

Red Apple Wreath:  Scent of sweet apples, cinnamon, walnuts and maple.

Frosted snow: Scent of crisp winter nights, with a hint of freshly-cut Christmas trees.

Christmas treats: Scent is a buttery-rich vanilla cookies topped with sweet sugar sprinkles.

Christmas baking: Scent of pantry spices, baking treats and freshly made fruit jams.

Snowflake cookie: Scent of perfectly pretty holiday cookies, deliciously decorated with sugary pink icing.

Christmas garland: Scent of fresh-cut pine boughs and zesty cranberries.

Spiced orange:Scent is a cheery blend of sunny citrus and snappy ginger.

And finally although these aren't christmassy I thought I'd show them to you anyway;

Black cherry: Scent is the delicious sweetness of rich, ripe black cherries.

Rainwashed Berries: Smells like a burst of sweet summer berries.

Berrylicious: Scent of ripe, juicy blueberries on a bed of creamy vanilla icing.

So I hoped you enjoyed this little candle blog post!
Do you have a Christmas candle scent?

Christmas To Do List - My December Bucket List!

So Christmas is upon us soon and seeing as I have more time on my hands with my fractured wrist I've had some time to think about what do I actually want to do this year? Besides all the present buying and decorating what Christmas traditions have I never done yet always wanted to? So after finding out my cast will finally come off early December I decided to create this almost 'Christmas Bucket list' of 12 things I want to do before Christmas. So without further ado lets jump right in;

1. Have a Christmas movie night

Watching Christmas films is pretty much everyone's Christmas Tradition you can't really escape it! So why not sparkle it up a little bit by hosting a proper 'Christmas Movie Night' it can be just for you and your family or you can even make a little party out of it and invite all your friends round. Then all you need to do is prep some snacks, bring all your duvets down to living room and get in your Christmas PJ's then you're set. This is something I'll definitely do with my family! (PS Elf and The Muppets Christmas Carol is a family favourite with my family!)

2. Build a gingerbread house

I've seen all the gingerbread house kits in the stores but have never actually bought one and made my own! Its mad as I absolutely love gingerbread, so how I haven't made and decorated my own by now is beyond me. Again this is something you do on your own or do it with you friends or family as fun activity to get you in the festive mood.

3.Do some Christmas DIY's

Getting crafty can be most productive around this time of year! Why spend tonnes of money on decorations when you can make some with bits you have around the house at a very low cost. It can be as simple as snow spraying some old jars or even adding glitter to bits to make them look more 'christmassy' an affordable Christmas is possible. I used to be always making my own red and green paper chains to decorate my bedroom with when I was younger!

4.Do some Christmas baking

Store bought Christmas baking can taste pretty good, but for nothing beats home made. The advantages of home made are endless; being able to choose your own flavours, able to decorate it your own style and make bigger batches. (stores can be pretty tight with their portion sizes these days.) It can be a home alone thing to let your inner baker shine, I mean come on we all watched the Great British Bake Off and think we're baking geniuses. Or on the other hand it can be a family friendly activity where little ones can help decorate cookies or lick the icing off the spoon in my case.

5.Visit a Christmas market

Big shopping precincts tend to have a pop up 'German Christmas Market' around this time of year. I did walk past one last year and did buy a sausage roll for breakfast, (which tasted amazing might I add.) however I was in such a hurry I didn't have time to look through all the stalls and get the festive vibe, which wasn't really there for me at 9am in the morning. So this year I'm determined to have a proper look around one possibly when its dark so all the lights will be on.

6.Make a Christmas playlist

I love Christmas Music so much, I would quite happily listen to it all year round. However I have different albums and different songs I really want to just sort through all the Christmas songs I have. Then pick out my favourites and place them all into one Christmas playlist I can listen to over and over, each and every year. Listening to Christmas music while getting bits done just give me that festive feeling I adore. It has helped me get through hours of wrapping presents.

7.Go to Winter Wonderland

I have never been to London around Christmas time in my life. Which is kinda sad but my family and I never got round to going up there! (Plus the sheer amount of people in that photo alone is already making me feel claustrophobic.) But armed with Christmas Spirit I would love to be able experience the Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park, it looks like a magical experience I definitely want to have this year!

8.Visit a Christmas shop

Around this time of year literally most gardening centres completely transform in Christmas wonderlands. There is one local to me which is huge and goes all out and becomes a Christmas Shop. They decorate the whole store and sell the most beautiful decorations and Christmas Ornaments. Although my personal favourite thing is the the fact my local Christmas store gets animals there over the Christmas period so you get to see Reindeer, Pigs and Goats etc! (Pigs are secretly my favourite though they are so cute eeek!)

9.Learn to crochet and make a Christmas decoration

Little knitted pieces make the sweetest decorations and I have always wanted to learn how to knit. So why not learn how to make them myself! I am determined to become a crazy knitting lady and absolutely decorate my room with these. Plus aren't those knitted lights the cutest? I best get buying my knitting magazines and starting kits!

10.Make my own pot-pourri and dry oranges

You can't quite beat the smell of Christmas, so to make my own Pot Pourri so I can fill my room with its sweet spicy scent would be so lovely! Also I'd be able to have more control over the scent, I'm much more a sweet scent person with just a hint of spice. So finding the perfect scent that isn't too spicy can be stressful for me. Also dried oranges look very Christmassy, when I was little we had a candle that had dried oranges in the wax and I always wondered how the orange did go mouldy, (my young mind couldn't work out they were dried and in wax.) So to make my own sounds like a little craft I'd get up to with my mum.

11.Write some Christmas cards

This may seem like an obvious however its a habit I've seem to stop doing! I used to send out 30+ cards to all my school friends, every family member and even to all my neighbours. But in recent years I only write one for my parents and boyfriend, I'm terrible. So I'm hoping this year to spread some sort of Christmas joy and actually write and send out lots of cards.

12.Make paper snowflakes

Now I'm not talking the little simple snowflakes you made as a child oh no no no. I've seen on Pinterest much more complex snowflakes which look so pretty I'd love to make tonnes of these to hang around the house. I think I may have to invest in some good scissors and have lots of patience for this one, however I think you can take this a step further if you wanted to and use glitter paper or even spray glitter on to them to give them a little sparkle.

So there is my December bucket list of the 12 things I want to do before Christmas!

Is there anything you want to do over the festive season?

Until next time have a wonderful day!
